This policy describes what data Guard the Tower ("the App") collects, how it's used, and who it's shared with. It reflects the App's actual current behavior — see the note near the bottom for what changes as new features ship.
Summary
- The App does not require an account and does not collect your name, email, or any other personally identifying information itself.
- Gameplay data (high score, settings, which tutorial tips you've seen) is stored only on your device and is never sent to us.
- The App shows ads via Google AdMob, which may collect device/advertising identifiers under Google's own privacy policy — see Third-Party Services below.
- No location, camera, microphone, or contacts access is requested or used.
Data We Store Locally (On Your Device Only)
The App uses local device storage (Android SharedPreferences) to save:
- Your high score
- Whether you've purchased "Remove Ads"
- Audio settings (music/SFX on or off)
- Which one-time tutorial hints you've already seen
- Onboarding completion status
None of this data leaves your device, is transmitted to us, or is linked to you personally. Uninstalling the App or clearing its app data removes it permanently. We have no way to access, recover, or delete it on your behalf, since we never receive it.
Third-Party Services
Google AdMob (advertising)
The App displays ads (interstitial and rewarded video) via Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the Android Advertising ID), approximate location, and ad interaction data to serve and measure ads, subject to Google's own privacy policy and your device's ad personalization settings.

- You can opt out of personalized ads via your device's ad settings (Android: Settings → Google → Ads → "Opt out of Ads Personalization").
If you purchase "Remove Ads," ads (and AdMob's associated data collection) stop for that install going forward.
Google Play Billing (in-app purchase)
If you purchase "Remove Ads," the transaction is processed entirely by Google Play's billing system. We do not receive or store your payment details — only a local flag on your device recording that ads are removed.
Children's Privacy
The App is a cartoon-style, non-graphic action game with no user accounts, chat, or social features. It is not directed at children as its primary audience, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone. Because the App serves ads via AdMob, if this listing is ever configured as "designed for families" or child-directed on Play Console, ad configuration must be updated to use Google's child-directed treatment (non-personalized/limited ads) accordingly — this is a Play Console configuration step, not something this policy alone controls.
Data Retention & Your Choices
- Locally stored data persists until you uninstall the App or clear its data via your device's app settings — there is nothing to request from us, since we don't hold it.
- Ad-related data collected by AdMob is governed by Google's own retention and deletion policies; see Google's Privacy Policy above.
Changes to This Policy
If we add features that change what data is collected (for example, analytics, an online leaderboard, or account sign-in), we will update this policy before or alongside that feature shipping, and update the "Effective date" above.
